Farouq’s love for tennis led him to build two courts on a small plot beside his roastery in Bintaro. What began as a hobby project quickly drew unexpected attention. The courts filled day and night, from morning into the weekends.
Seeing the growing interest, Farouq began thinking about what could come next. He wanted a more inclusive space by adding indoor courts so people could keep playing during the day or when it rained. At the same time, he began exploring padel long before the sport was familiar to most people.
As he started mapping out the next steps, we were there as a sounding board for him and his team. We helped structure the financing needed to build new facilities without disrupting existing operations or cash flow.
From this collaboration came one of the first padel courts in Jabodetabek, well before the sport gained wider attention. While many were still unsure of its potential, we chose to trust Farouq’s early instincts and the community he had already built. This support also helped steady GOAT Arena’s move toward opening courts in new locations.
GOAT Arena’s journey shows that ideas grow when there is space to look ahead and someone to think with and who believes in the direction the owner senses. And in KarmaClub, that is simply our role: to be present and supportive at the moments when decisions begin to take shape.
