The three of us spent our careers in consulting, building, and operating companies. In our most difficult moments, we were fortunate to have mentors and partners who guided us through important decisions, especially in areas beyond our expertise.
To pay it forward, in 2021 we began helping friends with their businesses. It started with a bagel chain and coffee shops that needed help in structuring financing for growth. Over time, it expanded to fashion brands, creative agencies, even factories.
But the more we listened, the more business owners we helped, the more we noticed a familiar pattern. These people we work with excelled at delivering strong products and services, yet as their businesses grew, the challenges shifted beyond their craft.
Instead of brewing great coffee, they worried about lost inventory. Instead of designing great creative campaigns, they needed to manage cash flow. Growth was no longer about making things, but more on building systems and processes to give them confidence when making important decisions.
What started as a way to repay good karma has grown into a circle of hundreds of business owners across multiple sectors. We always tell our partners that we’re not the expert in their sector. Yet the more businesses we support within a sector, the better we get at helping each one.
And through every partnership, one thing continues to prove true: better decisions happen when you're not making them alone.
